Have an adventure with PEEC this summer! Join us for the second week of Nature Odyssey camp to explore the wonders of nature. We will go on outdoor adventures around Los Alamos to learn about the natural world through exploration, hands-on activities, and guest speakers. Part of this week will focus on sustainability topics, such as zero waste habits, composting, creative crafting, and water and energy conservation. A highlight of this week of camp will be field trips on Wednesday and Friday!

This is the second of two weeks of our Nature Odyssey day camps. The camp meets daily Monday through Friday from 9 AM – 4 PM. Participants should be dropped off at the Los Alamos Nature Center. This camp is for students entering grades 4, 5, or 6 in fall 2021. This camp is limited to 15 participants and registration will open at 9 AM on Friday, May 7.

Addressing COVID-19: PEEC staff continues using recommendations from the New Mexico Department of Health, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, American Camp Association, Association for Nature Center Administrators, and many other organizations to develop COVID-Safe practices for our programs. By staying in small groups, avoiding mixing, wearing face coverings, maintaining physical distance, and implementing strict health guidelines for participants and staff, we aim to avoid spreading the virus. During registration, you will be asked to read and agree to a waiver statement. This includes details about participant requirements, such as behavior and other expectations, drop-off and pick-up procedures, daily health screenings, and more. Please read the waiver carefully.

Admission: $325/non-member, $305/PEEC members.
