Hey, 7th and 8th graders! Join PEEC’s Living Earth Adventure Program (LEAP) for fun in the awesome Los Alamos outdoors. This camp meets at Pajarito Mountain each day, weather permitting. The group will hike and explore the trails on and around Pajarito Mountain. Topics may include fire ecology, trees, and wildlife.

This is the first of two weeks of our LEAP day camps. The camp meets daily Monday through Friday from 9 AM – 4 PM. Participants should be dropped off at the Pajarito Ski Hill. This camp is for students entering grades 7 or 8 in fall 2021. This camp is limited to 15 participants and registration will open at 9 AM on Friday, May 7.

Addressing COVID-19: PEEC staff continues using recommendations from the New Mexico Department of Health, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, American Camp Association, Association for Nature Center Administrators, and many other organizations to develop COVID-Safe practices for our programs. By staying in small groups, avoiding mixing, wearing face coverings, maintaining physical distance, and implementing strict health guidelines for participants and staff, we aim to avoid spreading the virus. During registration, you will be asked to read and agree to a waiver statement. This includes details about participant requirements, such as behavior and other expectations, drop-off and pick-up procedures, daily health screenings, and more. Please read the waiver carefully.

Admission: $325/non-member, $305/PEEC members.
