Join PEEC and the Los Alamos Mountaineers for the June Mountaineers meeting and presentation via live-stream from the comfort of home. There will be a short Mountaineers meeting portion (about 15 minutes), then we'll hear about Ben Bergen's experiences climbing 14ers in Colorado.

About the Presentation:

Colorado's 58 peaks above 14,000 feet offer exhilarating, challenging terrain that is enjoyed by many and becomes a real passion for some. A well-planned trip is a chance to experience some of the most beautiful scenery on Earth, and an opportunity to find your mental and physical limits. However, with the altitude also come the extremes of exposure and the elements. Many times, poor judgment, poor planning, and bad luck (or a combination of all three) result in serious injury, and sometimes death. That said, in all but the slimmest minority of cases, these dangers can be avoided with the proper preparation and understanding. Join Ben Bergen for this presentation to hear about his experiences climbing 14ers in Colorado. The talk will cover the basic information that you need to get started on a safe journey through the Colorado backcountry, and to the top of your first 14er!

We are offering pay-what-you-can pricing for our online talks. Want to help more? Become a PEEC member today!
