Have you ever admired butterflies fluttering by on a hike or in your backyard yet felt you knew little about them? Join us for an enlightening presentation with Ecologist Simone Lord, where we'll delve into the fascinating world of butterflies. During this introductory talk, Simone will focus on identification of local butterfly species, bringing their beauty and significance to life. We aim to give you essential knowledge in classifying butterflies based on behaviors, species, and habitats.

After the presentation, Simone will lead a walk through the PEEC gardens to identify and observe active butterflies and demonstrate identification techniques in person.
