Star Wars, and science fiction in general, helps us imagine a possible future for a society that has had to deal with the vastness of space, immense technology innovations, biotech revelations that bring us closer to the existence of hybrid man-machine cyborgs and 
fully-autonomous robots. We can imagine the discovery of alien species and how humans might interact with intelligent beings from another world and their alien culture and customs. In this presentation, we will explore these themes and contrast the advanced technologies and biology of Star Wars with our current technology and near-future science.
Because seating is limited in the planetarium, advance registration is encouraged! Sign up now to reserve your seats. Online registration will close at noon on Friday, May 6. If space is still available, we will admit walk-up attendees at the nature center at the time of the presentation.
