When it comes to solar installations, there is an overabundance of information out there from so many sources that it could make your head spin. If you are thinking about installing a rooftop photovoltaic system, take a moment to discover the County requirements and learn how this system will impact your electric bill. The Los Alamos Department of Public Utilities (DPU) will host a Q&A-style public information session to arm you with the information needed to consider your options carefully.

About the Presenters:

A familiar face to those with recent photovoltaic installations, Mariano Montoya is an Associate Engineer at DPU, where he has been in the Electric Distribution Division for the past 2 years. Some of his areas of work include electric utility design, electric system mapping/ArcGIS management, project management, solar customer management and meter management.

Karen Kendall is the Deputy Utility Manager of Finance & Administration for DPU. A few of her areas of responsibility include: the Customer Care Center, utility billing and rate setting. Ms. Kendall has worked for Los Alamos County in a number of finance-related positions since 2008 and has been a county resident for 20 years.
