PEEC’s Complimentary Planetarium Show Now at 4 P.M. Every Wednesday.

The Pajarito Environmental Education Center (PEEC) is excited to announce a new time for our weekly, complimentary planetarium Sky Show. Starting immediately, the show will be held every Wednesday at 4 p.m., moving from its previous time of 3 p.m.

Join us for an engaging and informative experience in our planetarium, led by one of our knowledgeable astronomers. The program will kick off with our captivating 15-minute Planetarium Show, followed by an interactive Q&A session where attendees can ask questions and request specific topics. This is a wonderful opportunity to expand your understanding of the universe in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.

In addition to the planetarium show, PEEC offers a variety of free weekly events for all ages!

For families, Nature Playtime on Mondays from 10 to 11 a.m. provides toddlers and preschoolers and caregivers the opportunity to explore the natural world through play and sensory activities. Our Reptiles program on Mondays from 11:15 to 11:45 a.m. invites you to discover our resident reptiles and learn about their care and habitat; feel free to ask questions about our animal exhibits.

Join us on Wednesdays for Birding with Bob from 10 p.m. to 12 p.m. to meet our bird expert, Robert Walker, in the Observation Room, where you can bring your questions and enjoy the view. Additionally, we offer Happy Ramblers on Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Betty Ehart Center and Gentle Walks on Fridays from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Los Alamos Nature Center, emphasizing observation and discovery in nature.
