Join the Los Alamos Seed Library and members of Bee City Los Alamos to learn about saving seeds in the gardens at the Los Alamos Nature Center. During this program, we will discover the important role of seeds and learn how to harvest, dry, and store different types of seeds thru hands-on activities. This event is meant for all ages interested in learning about seeds, seed saving, and gardening.

This program is a part of the Los Alamos Community Seed Library project. This is a grass-roots effort comprised of individuals and community organizations working together to achieve a project goal: to establish a seed library in Los Alamos. A seed library is a location where the general public can borrow seeds to plant at their own homes. Borrowers are encouraged to collect seeds from their home gardens to return back to the library to share with others.
The free event is being held at the Los Alamos Nature Center, 2600 Canyon Road. No registration necessary. More information can be found here. Learn more about the Los Alamos Seed Library here.
