Bear Fest is coming to Los Alamos this August!

Get ready for a wild time at the 8th Annual Bear Fest, happening Saturday, August 23, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Los Alamos Nature Center.

Bear Fest is hosted by the Pajarito Environmental Education Center (PEEC) in partnership with the Land of Enchantment Wildlife Foundation (LEWF). This exciting, free, family-friendly festival will be packed with fun activities, games, and engaging crafts. Connect with wildlife experts, explore hands-on exhibits, and learn how to live safely with black bears and other local wildlife. Don’t miss delicious eats from Manko: Native American Fusion food truck. This program is made possible by N3B (title sponsor) and Century Bank.

Mark your calendars!

Kick off the festivities the night before at Bear Dinner on Friday, August 22, from 6–8:30 p.m., co-hosted by PEEC and LEWF. Enjoy a delicious bear-inspired meal catered by Vigilante Pizza, and hear from local wildlife expert Dr. Kathleen Ramsay about black bears in New Mexico.

Tickets: $45 for PEEC members and $50 for non-members. Learn more and reserve your spot at peecnature.org/events. For more information, visit our website at peecnature.org/events. Stay connected with us on social media for updates on each week’s activities.
