Brace yourselves for a spooky adventure at PEEC-A-BOO on Friday, October 25, from 4 PM to 6 PM at the Los Alamos Nature Center! As part of the Trick-or-Treat on MainStreet festivities, we invite families and friends to enjoy an afternoon filled with fun, learning, and, of course, candy!
Highlights include spooky creature encounters at 4:30 PM and 5:30 PM, where you can meet some of the Pajarito Environmental Education Center (PEEC)’s resident animals and learn about the fascinating creatures that inhabit our local environment. Engage in a variety of Halloween-themed activities designed for all ages, and don’t forget to grab a treat. Admission is free!
After PEEC-A-BOO, stick around for our special Halloween Astronomy event in the planetarium on Friday from 6 PM to 7 PM, or Saturday from 2 PM to 3 PM, to explore the night sky with a Halloween twist. Through a captivating mix of music, images, and narration, you’ll explore Halloween from a fresh perspective that combines folklore and the cosmos. Admission for Halloween Astronomy is $8 for adults, $6 for children, or $20 for a family.

PEEC was founded in 2000 to serve the community of Los Alamos. It offers people of all ages a way to enrich their lives by strengthening their connections to our canyons, mesas, mountains, and skies. PEEC operates the Los Alamos Nature Center at 2600 Canyon Road, holds regular programs and events, and hosts several interest groups, from birding to hiking to butterfly watching.
