You’re invited! Join the Pajarito Environmental Education Center (PEEC) for our Annual PEECnic Community Membership Appreciation Event at the Los Alamos Nature Center on Saturday, October 12th, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.! This festive fall gathering is free, open to everyone and is a wonderful opportunity to connect with PEEC staff, volunteers, and members. Enjoy an array of snacks and desserts, participate in fun games, help us press fresh apple cider, and engage with our educators as they share their nature-related wisdom.
This event serves as the annual membership meeting, where members will vote for new and returning members of the Board of Directors. This is a key moment for our community to have a say in the leadership that guides PEEC!
Learn about PEEC membership benefits, such as discounts in the gift shop, members-only rental equipment, and reduced rates on many programs. New members will receive a complimentary PEEC member glass water bottle (while supplies last) and an extra month added to their membership!
This year’s PEECnic will be led by Ryan Ramaker, PEEC’s Visitors Services Manager, who has an exciting lineup of activities for all ages. Attendees can look forward to critter experts, yard games, sidewalk art, storytelling sessions, and planetarium shows. Whether rain or shine, this event promises to be a memorable day filled with learning and community spirit.
