This medium-sized cat is a native of North America. It is best known for its black-tipped bobbed tail and ruffs of hair beneath the ears. The bobcat hunts from dusk to midnight and then again from dawn to sunrise. It can take prey up to the size of a rabbit. Bobcats are solitary and territorial.
