Featured Critter – Northern Flicker

Northern Flickers, one of our local woodpeckers, are often seen hopping around on the ground or up in trees searching for insects. In addition, they will come to feeders for suet or peanut butter. These birds are brown overall with a pattern of black spots, bars, and crescents. Males have a red mustache.
